At SIDEWALK SciEd, we believe that science is everywhere—on sidewalks, in schoolyards, in backyards, and in communities.
We envision a world in which educators confidently harness the power of place to spark curiosity, foster inquiry, and deepen understanding of scientific concepts through hands-on, locally relevant, outdoor science experiences that connect students to their world and empower them as knowledge-builders and change-makers.
Our mission is to empower educators to connect science content with the outdoor spaces in which their students learn, play, and explore every day.
We advance our mission and vision through developing custom outdoor science lessons, and providing confidence-building workshops, seminars and one-on-one coaching sessions for science educators.
